#BQ2118 – A 19th C. Indian Toradar Rifle – $2280.00
A handsome untouched example with extensive silver inlay at breech and flared muzzle. The barrel is spiral twist damask steel. The capucines are rawhide bands, some missing. The stock has several open decorative iron bosses and elephant ivory serpentine cover plates with small loss. Original clevis and ramrod. Missing the pan cover. The butt plate appears to be of ivory. See Dr. Leo Figiel Collection, Butterfields auction of 8/24/1998 for similar examples. 155.5 cm overall, approx. .65 cal.
