#BQ2311 – A Hawken Style Plains Rifle – $550.00
This gun has no maker’s marks but shows evidence of extensive field use along with the adaption of a pewter nipple cup, handmade forward sight and showing heavy natural verdigris inside the brass patch box. Many 19th C. American black powder rifles were locally made from various handmade and purchased components. A good untouched example. 123.5 cm. overall, approx. .45 cal.
