A tasset (thigh defense) for a 17th century pikeman's armour. This would hang from the bottom of the breastplate. Forged in one piece to simulate four lames; decorative rivets; rolled edges. One hinge replaced during working life. 11" at widest x 9 1/8" x 1 ž" deep.
