#BQ385 - Edo Period Japanese Kabuto - $7825.00

A Japanese Kabuto and Hachi with 18 plates, five vertical rows of standing rivets, four-stage top element, three neck lames. Original lining and printed doeskin accoutrements. Crest in the form of an Oni. Iron and gold crests on the wings in the form of water plankton. Hachi with embossed kanji, not yet translated. Original chin-cord. Very desirable and collectable, in excellent overall condition. Soiling and fading commensurate with age, excellent overall condition. Probably ca. 1650-1700. 8" tall, 15" deep, overall width 16 1/2".
