#BQ72 - "French Street Scene" -- (SOLD)

See item #312 on page 187 of "The Price Guide to Pot Lids," by A. Ball (1980). By F & R Pratt for Crosse & Blackwell. Displaying a street in Strasbourg, probably for "Strasbourg Paste," a delicacy by Crosse & Blackwell. Strasbourg cathedral in background. On a base of hand-turned wood, possibly walnut. Near-mint condition. Base measures 7" x 1 5/8".

See item #55 on page 46 of "The Price Guide to Pot Lids," by A. Ball (1980). From a watercolor by Jesse Austin. Excellent condition; hairline crack in sky on left side, fine age-crazing to glaze. On a hand-turned base of "lingue-wood." Base measures 7" x 1 3/4".
