# BQ2359 - Excellent Late 19th C. Knights Templar Societal Sword - $ 480.00

An elaborate nickel plate mounted lodge sword with helmet pommel and highly decorated guard, quillons and scabbard fittings. The elephant ivory grip is scrimshawed with a cross; red cloisonne is used on both the crossguard and upper scabbard mount. Both the scabbard and blade display surface etching. The double etched blade is named to Paul C. Price and maker marked, "M C Lilley & Co. Columbus Ohio." A fine example with small areas of slight surface rust and small losses to cloisonn‚ and plating. The ivory gripped examples are very scarce and desirable. 92.4 cm. overall in scabbard.
