# AH25 - A Large 19th Century Indian Lance Head with Chiseled and Applied Decoration - $ 295.00

A socketed Indian lance head, possible made for parade at the Delhi Durbar, with attractively chiseled bolsters and chiseled, applied central leaf-shaped panel, both in floral motif. The socket rolled and brazed with copper. The blade probably of wootz steel; may show a pattern if properly cleaned and etched. Good condition; acidically cleaned. The blade with scattered pits, the socket with areas of rust scale and a couple of shallow dents. 44.1 cm. overall, with 28.5 cm. blade.
