# EAS1 - European Artillery Sabre, Dated 1897 - $ 450.00

A European artillery sabre with iron three-bar type hilt similar to the British artillery patterns. Stamped on the underside of the guard "F.A." (Field Artillery or Feld Artillerie), "1897" and 6193. The blade is unmarked, and the scabbard mount is stamped to the obverse "E 173" and to the reverse "A E". Black fishskin grip with triple wire wrap, tight and 100% intact. Pommel peen undisturbed. Iron scabbard with heavy throat and single loose ring. Overall GC; scabbard has been slightly bent and straightened and shows one dent to the obverse. Nice patina; scabbard with minor oxidation.
