A rare original Nazi German WWII Luftwaffe Paratrooper's gravity knife with a slightly reduced and sharpened blade displaying a partical maker's mark at the ricasso of the Seated King logo for SMF and "SOLINGEN, ROSTEREL." The spike also has the correct Waffenampt mark at the base. The gravity blade action works properly but sticks a bit at fully open position. The walnut grip plates are very good as are the other fittings including the lanyard ring.. An excellent knife in very good period used condition; would be a fine addition to your collection. 26.5 cm. overall with knife blade open. 9.7 cm. long blade.
