A gayaman kris from Solo. Wrangka and handle painted with red and black dyes. Tourist quality blade with pamor and separately forged ganja, edges not sharp. Wrangka with white metal sleeve, open at front. kris fits wrangka poorly at entrance – possibly poor manufacture or not the original wrangka. Lacking mendak. Basically GC, dents to toe of scabbard. Blade 13 1/2", overall in sheath 19". A good beginner's piece, or for comparison study to indicate the lower end of the quality scale.
