# BQ2997 - A 19th Century U.S. Civil War Period hand-made Bowie Knife - $ 720.00

This clip-point Bowie blade and cross guard was purchased in Sunbright, Tennessee several years ago. The owner stated at the time that it was a Civil War artifact that had been in the family for a long time. It is a true 19th century blacksmith made example in period rust patina with light to heavy surface pitting and may be an early dug item. The iron guard is deformed. 35.1 cm. overall.
