# bq2212 - A Rare T'Boli Brass Hilted Kampilan with Original Scabbard, ca. 1900 - $ 1050.00

From the T’Boli group of Mindanao. Cleaned condition, the blade showing no lamination pattern but with remnants of a semicircular stamped design. The distinctive and intricately cast brass hilt is covered in a textural pattern with figural character at base. Both the wooden scabbard and hilt display the addition of goat hair tufts and cast brass bells associated with T'Boli work. The scabbard support straps are of rusted iron. Overall in scabbard 80.8 cm., with 62.8 cm. blade.
