# BQ1777 - WWI Period Imperial Bavarian Infantry Officers Sword - $ 390.00

The blade maker marked with addorsed squirrel logo and “C.E.” for Carl Eickhorn, double etched with Bavarian motto, “In Treue Fest” with the national crest. Nickel-plated blade shows age patina and freckling. For similar example see "Swords of Germany 1900/1945" by John Angolia, pg. 423. Good condition; the hilt with wear to the gilt, the grip wire loose. 101.5 cm. overall in scabbard, blade 86 cm.
