Ubu mumei nakago; blade is in scarce shinogi zukuri form. Blade is in excellent condition with a medium suguha hamon with areas of gunome. It displays light scratches and a few minor rust spots. The blade would polish with no problems but is very attractive as is. The solid silver habaki appears to have been cleaned recently and the lacquered wood handachi mounts are very fine with old chip near the base of the saya. Both the soft metal tansu handle kurigata and kojiri are fine quality. 36.2 cm. overall in mounts, with 22.7 cm. blade nagasa.
